Glossybox June 2013 & Grazia

Glossybox loves Grazia

A very special Glossybox landed in the mail boxes this month. Glossy box loves Grazia! Perfect combination for me since I'm an addicted reader of Grazia since...forever.

The box included as usual five great beauty products and a pocket edition of this weeks GRAZIA magazine (I had it before, of course).

  • Butter London - Nail polish Shag (what a great color)
  • Kryolan - Lip n' cheek (I'll use it for the cheeks since I don't really like lip sticks)
  • Montblanc - Legend pour femme (unfortunately not really my perfume, but maybe one of the girls will like it)
  • Rituals Cosmetics - Yogi Flow shower foam (Love it)
  • SHISEIDO - Benefiance wrinkle resist 24 intensive eye contour cream (totally needed in my age :-))
Thank you Glossybox team and Grazia!

New in/ Berlin Bag from Liebeskind

I can’t describe how madly I felt in love with this amazing, gorgeous and just perfect bag from Liebeskind Berlin. It was love at first sight. The only bittersweet decision I had to take was – burgundy or dark green?!

Isn’t it beautiful?! I know the price is nothing to sneeze at, but…it’s so wonderful! And now I can carry a little bit Berlin with me every dayJ.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Adieu Google Reader - Hello Bloglovin!

Just one week left till we need to say Goodbye to Google Reader. As a really frequent user of GR, I was really sad about the news that they will shut it down. But however, blog life goes on and I tried to find good alternatives since some weeks.

First Reader that came to my mind was of course BLOGLOVIN, since I already use it as blogger and reader. Above all on my iPhone and iPad.

When you are new to Bloglovin, you can sign up and then go to:

Here you can import all your blogs you've read via Google Reader before. So nothing gets lost!

If you wanna read a post, you click on the link and you'll be directed to the homepage - this will count as a page view. What is really great for all bloggers. Moreover you can then comment, share and also like the post - all within Bloglovin! Isn't this great? One reader for everything!

For me it's the best alternative to Google Reader. Have you found another one? Let me know!

If you like you can visit and follow My Moonriver on Bloglovin here:

Have a great Sunday!

Isabel Marant for H&M – do we like?

It’s out now! I guess, we all have asked ourselves who will be next to design for H&M. Yesterday, the press release made it official. It’s Isabel Marant!

She will design Must-have pieces for women and teenagers with the “Parisian touch” and for the first time she is going to design a men’s collection. The whole collection will be available on November 14th 2013 online and in 250 stores worldwide.

Isabel Marant & Margareta van den Bosch, source H&M

I already read the news yesterday and still I’m not sure what to think? Do I like it or not?

Well, Isabel Marant is one of the greatest designers, imo! No question! But I have always been little disappointed about previous collections from designers like Anna dello Russo, Marni, Lanvin, Karl Lagerfeld, Versace who designed for H&M. Not because I didn't like the pieces, but the quality wasn't really good. Yeah, I know…otherwise it wouldn't fit to the price. Nothing new and surprising, right?!

On the one hand, I think it’s nice that designer pieces/ fashion in general are available for all and the other hand I think, do I really wanna have a piece of less quality only because Isabel Marant is on the label for H&M? Wouldn't it be better to safe a little more money and spend it for a “real” Isabel Marant piece and wear it year after year, because it has a way better quality?

I’m always torn when it comes to this topic. Actually, I think it is better to spend less money on trend pieces and spend a little more on classic Must-haves. But even when you buy only a few cheaper pieces, you support all the “non-sustainability-drama” of the industry. Of course, I don’t want to, but without all these cute trend pieces it’s only half the fun.

So, what are we doing? I haven’t found the right solution for me and by writing this, I feel bad about it, because it should be only one solution, or?!

Office outfit alternative - Bermuda shorts and culottes

Working in an office without air condition during summer can be really heated. So I'm always looking for appropriate alternatives to long suit pants. Well, you can wear skirts (not minis), but I guess that's it!

A few years ago I've worn bermuda shorts, but it seemed like they disappeared from the closets. Now they are back and not only as the short version of the suit pant with a crease. They come in all colors and prints and what I like even more, the wider cut - the CULOTTE!

I found some really great pieces of classic bermuda shorts and culottes which are definitely not only for an office outfit.

Favorite classic and printed bermuda shorts:

printed long shorts via Asos
long shorts with flower print via Asos
classic bermuda shorts via J.Crew

Favorite culottes:

denim skater culottes via Farfetch
culottes via Zara

tailored culottes via Topshop

culottes from Chloé via Net-a-porter
culottes via Asos

culottes from Wood Wood via Asos

I still need to decide which one to buy. What's your favorite?

Have a sunny day all.
